How Far Along? 24 Weeks – WOW!

How I’m Feeling Overall:  Tired.  Tired all the time.  I guess that is good practice for having a newborn. Otherwise I feel good though – being NOT nauseous is like a wonderful gift!

Maternity Clothes? Duh.

Stretch Marks? None. *knock on wood*

Sleep? Horrible.  Can’t get comfy in any position -toss, turn, pile pillows around me, get up to pee, its a bad bad scene.  Starting to get a lot of hip pain, and a few charlie horses thrown in for good measure.

Best Moment of the Week? Being able to see baby kick from the OUTSIDE!

Movement? Yes, I get a lot of pokes and swooshes – especially in the evening after I have put N to bed and can just sit and relax.

Food Cravings/Aversions? I want sweets, but I can’t have sweets, so that is making me a grumpy camper.  I realized yesterday I will miss out on the Shamrock Shakes of March – my favorite – augh!!!

Gender? GIRL!  We are doing the room in chocolate brown/pink polka dots, and I must say – it is looking awfully cute in there.

What I miss? Sleep, COFFEE, a big fat dirty martini, and CAKE CANDY SWEEEEEETS.

What I’m looking forward to? All my mail order goodies arriving for her room.

Weekly Wisdom:  I got nuthin’.  Well how ’bout – as God is my witness, I will eat chocolate cake again!

Milestones: baby is the size of an ear of corn now.  weird!

Emotions? Still have a lot of fears – mostly about the newborn stage.  Lack of sleep makes me weepy and angry and out of control.  I am scared how to reel myself in during the newborn stage to keep N’s life *somewhat* normal.

*added some sneak peeks of the nursery!  It is still in process, have to paint my mural, and waiting on the changing table and lots of decor pieces….but starting to look sweet!

I can’t believe a live baby is going to inhabit this room…I am scared!
