>Don’t Start Knitting Any Booties Just Yet

>Well, it can’t ever just be normal and easy, can it?
I got my 2nd test results.
HcG 2600 – so that is fine, a little more than doubled in 48 hours.
But..

My Progesterone dropped, from 28 to 23.

So of course, because I am me, I am worried.

It may be totally normal, I am not sure.  I mean that is why they put us on Progesterone supplementation, right?  They told me to up my injection dose…and go again Wednesday for another blood test.  I am trying to remain calm – the nurse didn’t indicate any cause for alarm, AND I don’t fully understand how much progesterone there should be, or if it normally fluctuates, or what.  So, no need to panic.  Um, yea.

I should have grilled the nurse on the phone, but I was out -on a cell phone, in a non private setting.  It felt awkward.
Maybe I should call, but I don’t want to be THAT patient – the nutty one that calls every day.
Sigh.
Last night I had pretty bad pains in my lower right abdomen, so I was like…THIS IS IT….this is baaaaaaaad….
But today I feel fine, and it was probably gas or something.
Still no symptoms to speak of.
I hate the waiting game.
I hate hearing that a number isn’t quite right.
I just pretty much hate everything today.
Boo.

    >Not to give false hope or anything – just a FYI – I had cramping and pains the entire first trimester with Katherine. Some twinges and discomfort is normal, even when it feels wrong.I really, really, really hope you get a definitive answer.I found this info:Progesterone levels also can have quite a variance at this stage of pregnancy. They can range from 9-47ng/ml in the first trimester, with an average of 12-20ng/ml in the first 5-6 weeks of pregnancy. here:http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancycomplications/earlyfetaldevelopment.htmHope that helps?

    >Why do people worry about calling for information? The nurse/doctor has the information. You would feel better if YOU had the information. Seems like a pretty simple equation to me. Besides, I've been a receptionist. It's kind of a boring job. :)I have weird, random pains all the time, but having them in the beginning of pregnancy is enough to make you CRAZY!Focus on the beta – that's good news. There's no supplementing that one.

    >I try not to be "that patient" as well but sometimes I have questions so I call. I figure that's what the doctors are there for, to answer questions. If it makes you feel better then call and ask the doctor to call you back and explain this better! 🙂
